Visitors of Tybee Island can take a trip to see some bottle-nosed dolphins with Captain Mike’s Dolphin Tours. Trips leave daily from the Lazaretto Creek Marina. Other island animals may be seen, including sea turtles and birds, as well as the some area's natural and historic sites. The trips last between an hour to an hour-and-a-half. Reservations are recommended.
Sundial Charters offers boating exursions to the barrier islands of coastal Georgia accompanied by a naturalist. Land on barrier island Little Tybee to beachcomb, observe the native bottlenose dolphin population and watch birds with binoculars and a spotting scope. All trips are intimate and limited to six people.
